Though Spring has reared its head and warm weather inches closer with each breathing moment, a sense of coziness is nestled deep in dusty corners.
Deep within vibrant rhododendron blooms and camas clusters lay a restful, secure energy that envelopes all who seek it; ‘coziness’ or ‘hygge’ are amongst its many names. As days pass by and I grow older, the world can seem more glum and stressful.
But sometimes, the remedy can be as simple as the warming of one’s heart.
To find stillness in an ever-moving world
is a walk in the woods.

To exhale the heaviness weighing on your chest
is to indulge in the aromas of a carefully crafted candle, as the flames crackle and shadows
are banished to their depths once more.

To relax one’s eyes from endless consumption,
is to read under amber hues and gentle twinkling of lights.

In my mind, to be cozy, is to be at peace.
How do you find comfort in the warmer seasons?
