Once in a while, life throws you a curveball. The path you found yourself meandering peacefully down gradually becomes impassable, and you discover you have to carve a path of your own or you’re shit outta luck.

In short – I’m moving back to one of my favourite places full of some of my favourite people – Victoria. The last eight months gave me experiences of solitude, self-sufficiency, and growth. I learned how to be on my own. I learned how to cook and bake nearly everything with an air fryer. I got back into hiking and started kickboxing. I traveled a bit and saw new things. Most importantly, I learned a lot about myself.

The closing of this chapter teaches me to lean into those temporary, liminal moments, instead of pulling back. Now, I find myself in my parent’s spare room sipping on a double IPA, reminiscing over the last year with a slight grin of pride and a full heart. I am learning to have grace for the parts of life that I can’t control.

To end my time in my humble abode and this grand, yet short, chapter of life, I thought I would share some photos of my space as I closed the doors a final time.

I hope you enjoy.

Until next time,

M.
