N + R – Rural Alberta, Canada

Watching my uncle Nick and (newly auntie) Rebecca deliver their vows in late August was something out of a fairytale. Sitting upon haybales, we all watched as grey clouds pulled themselves over the farm, meanwhile my auntie Liza soothed and serenaded the crowd with piano music.

The evening itself was spent dodging heavy rain in the garage surrounded by the couple’s family and friends, watching as fireworks boomed high in the starlit sky, and taking multiple rides around the field on Sally – a homemade horse my uncle crafted. Have I mentioned my family is a little country?

I will cherish this trip deep in my heart for years to pass. Introducing some of my favourite people to my favourite loverman felt surreal and truly special. Sacred memories were created, pictures were captured, and hearts were (and still are) full.
