A quick venture to Seattle in mid-May brought about a gleeful time filled with copious cups of good coffee, delightful conversations, and city street meandering.

Some of you may know that I am in a long-distance relationship. Gabriel and I met in the wonderful world of dating apps through a little site called “Tinder”, ever heard of it? Divine timing took place as I was about to delete the monstrosity off my phone, when I got a message from him that shifted my life and gave me hope in men lol. I won’t go into the whole story right now, as that’s coming in part ii next month for our second anniversary, but I figured I’d give y’all a little context.

Living in the Okanagan Valley while Gabriel lives in Seattle can be difficult. Though we’ve managed to nail down ways to keep our relationship healthy, flowing, and fun despite the various hurdles over the past two years, nothing genuinely compares to being together in person. Long-distance is absolutely not for the faint of heart, but I am full of gratitude for the challenges coupled with the roller coaster of emotions we’ve encountered during the pandemic – a hell of a time to start an ldr, lemme tell ya what. However, without the tribulations, we wouldn’t be the people or couple we are, and that’s pretty fricken cute if I do say so myself!

So, without further adieu, please enjoy some phone photos from our sweet little time together in the city of angels, well, my angel man (hehe sorry).

Hug your loved ones, my dear friend.

M.
